I really hope they release a demo, I need to know if the game actually controls better than the originals, particularly the long jump in Crash 2. It's very stiff and rigid in the original, hopefully the controls feel more fluid and the jump arcs better defined, like Rayman Legends. But if what I hear is true then she was a last minute-addition. See, she was playable in Crash 3 for the animal riding stages except you start and end the stage on foot as her. So they had to make her playable to be accurate but then they probably realized "since we have to program this anyway, why don't we just make her a skin for Crash?" and they slapped it on at the last minute.

Sonic Mania and Crash HD will both bomb. I want them all to succeed, because I'm not a console war kiddie, it's a shame. They're both rather alike, when you think about it. Both are geniuses, both are incredibly tech-savvy and both are exceptional pilots.

Coco is the "straight man" to Crash. N. Gin, while not exactly stable, was much the same to Cortex out of his usual posse of henchmen. On top of that, he was once a respected individual with a government job before the accident that crippled him.

One day they could start trading back-and-forth messages over hacking attempts, eventually start communicating in-secret and geeking out over science stuff. I imagine life on N. Sanity Island isn't exactly ripe for intellectual discussion, especially when the only people to talk to are your unintelligable but well-meaning sibling and a floating mask. Likewise for Cortex Castle, where your only colleague is too far immersed in his own ambition to so much as acknowledge your presence.

It's one of those weird things that shouldn't work, but kind of does in context.

As an Xbox guy, I find the setting and story of Crash to be really cool, but the 2D gameplay I just can't get behind. They should make a new Crash game after this that's an actual proper 3D platformer.
