That game was shit but it had some crazy weird stuff in it that was worth checking it out. I don't recommend playing it, just watch a playthrough on youtube. I miss this kind of games. Wonder is Phanstasmagoria is worth a shot? I missed it when it came out 20+ years ago

Are there any other games like Harvester? Not necessarily point & click adventures, but just fucked up games in general. Postal 2 comes to mind first, but even that game is over 15 years old now.

I recently played through both Phantasmagoria games and they're pretty good. If you enjoyed Harvester you will enjoy Phantasmagoria as well. I personally think Phantasmagoria 2 is better because it's more "cinematic" than the first one. You can play them in any order you want because the plots don't have much to do with each other. I remember Phantasmagoria 2 having only one reference to the first game, and even then the reference was so quick I barely noticed it myself.

Also, the main character of Phantasmagoria 1 is cute, CUTE!

Phantasmagoria 2 falls in the category of "so bad it's good". The game has some very questionable design choices and pretty hard puzzles, but once you get what the game is about you'll have no problem with it. I played it through without any walkthroughs or guides and clocked about 14 hours on it total.
It's like watching a really bad direct to TV sci-fi horror movie.

Play it with a friend, you'll be quoting that game for years!

pretty much every single character in the game is completely fuckin insane, the sheriff, Mr Pottsdam and the gay firemen are just so over the top that they become hilarious. In the final part the game become more gore and brutal but there are still lots of hilarious dialogues hidden here and there in the Lodge, but the tone is way darker at that point

The gameplay is obviously shit, but the world they created deserves way more credit. Genuinely creepy with some great characters and writing. Just clicking around houses and objects and seeing the weird ass descriptions was great. For example like some of the environmental storytelling where stephanies father is implied to be jerking it to her while watching her through the peephole in the bathroom.
