They killed my interest very quickly when it had been considered a reason to get a Switch. Refusing to add characters from most of the series because "Too many sword users" while making every initial character from Awakening/Fates swordsmen, plus the OC characters is just stupid and insulting to fans of the series. They're not giving us a Fire Emblem crossover, but a game that's just the two latest with a cameo of Marth and maybe Caeda.

Tiki amiibo restored my faith in the game.

I'm curious to see more non-swordies and seeing Xander and Corrin gameplay definitely was nice to see how different they play from other swordies.

Also, looks like they pulled the switching characters mechanic from Hyrule Warrior Legends for this game, a great call.

I also like being able to command your leaders from the map screen.

Very curious to see how flyers and mages play in the game.

all my hype and hope for this game has been ruined in the past month desu, i've loved warriors games when i was a kid and fe for a while and i just can't go on

Trash.

Pop-in was terrible. (Literally do attacks, turn around to run the opposite way, 2 seconds later hordes of enemies are popping in besides the character as they plow past them.)

Framerate was terrible. Visibly dipping to ~10 FPS during their special moves while hitting dozens of enemies.

Musou games are bland beatemups with nothing interesting going on.

They picked the worst games to represent FE with.

It's really obvious they got performance issues with the game, and they really need to consider dropping down the amount of generic footsoldiers stand around, as the Switch really can't handle so many models each with their own AI.

It was neat, I think that feature was in Hyrule Warriors if I'm not mistaken. The frame rate problem from previous games was still present but I still had fun. And as for the map part, it was pretty neat. They stuck with the FE game style where you can choose where some units go and such. You could even go up to another character and partner up with them. (Your unit simply stacked and you could attack with them if you wanted to)

I'm also curious to see how the weapons system works since at Treehouse the devs stated you could switch your weapons for the appropriate fights.

You can say the Heroes poll at least came too late, but Ike not being in just strikes me as them not giving a fuck with how high he's been in polls before. I hope this is the last time Shadow Dragon gets much representation.

This is why I dislike musou games. I gave Fate/Extella a chance because I love the characters, but I haven't even finished Nero's story yet. I only have the drive to play maybe 1 or 2 stages within a month. And like a dumbass I even bought all the DLC costumes, so I paid more than double for a game I've hardly been playing. I've never heard Xander's english voice until the trailer and it doesn't match at all for someone who looks like he's perpetually angry.

I've been wanting a game like this since I first discovered FE almost a decade ago so I want it to be good but my faith is waning. That roster really just rained on my parade. I don't buy character DLC and I'm not planning on starting anytime soon either.
