Note I've haven't really gotten any good pc games in the last decade or so, so I would be okay with old stuff as well.

Pretty much anything 2D, as long as your processor is decent.

I can play Fallout NV, Metal Gear Rising and Mountain Blade on my MS Surface no problem
I played Skyrim in 800x600, and Space Marines, the 3rd person shooter. I was genuinely surprised how many games you can get through just fine with them.

Dark Souls if you don't mind turning the resolution way, way down.

any MUD
Shovel Knight

Sonic Mania (probably)

Darkest Dungeon (highly recommended)

virtually anything if you're willing to go low enough.
Skyrim for instance, if memory serves it can run fullscreen at whatever your max resolution is.
so if you set a custom one in the panel, something ludicrously low like 320X180, you'll get silky smooth 30FPS on a 1st gen mobile Core i7.

Hmm, I've been thinking of playing games like that.
