Depends on what resolution you're playing at. I use 1920x1200 and turn off AA. Doesn't look bad at all. I think it's right at the threshold where you start to see less of a need for it. 1440p and up: turn that shit off.

Yup. You can turn off AA in Doom and hardly notice it. Crysis 3 you will see a huge jump in difference. But I still turn it off in that game. The jaggies are a thing you sort of get used to, and once you become visually accustomed to it you don't notice it anymore. I played games on the PS2 for years with jaggies and was never bothered, and that was after playing Dreamcast games.

I just monitor the temps in Afterburner and tweak the fan profiles to make sure they stay at a reasonable level for their model (without constantly sounding like a jet engine). Modern GPUs can shoulder the load no problem. Biggest effect is that the lifespan might be shortened a bit since you're constantly working it.
