Fire emblem echoes and metroid had the same reveal/release windows six months apart from each other so I would not be one bit surprised if they made an announcement for something mother related then. Tomato's is very faithful and fucking excellent, but NoA writes good humor. It would be cool to see NoA's interpretation. I'd play it just to see how they decided to treat the game.

Honestly the only reason I would want this is if the franchise hanged in the balance, but Itoi's made it clear that Mother is done, and Mother 3's fan translation is pretty easy to find. I'd rather not experience NoA's inevitably terrible "localization".

Mother 3 is one of my favourite games and I was clamouring for years for an official English release. But now I very much doubt Treehouse can put out a faithful localisation that captures the charm in the same way that the fan translation did. Plus it's been nine fucking years, anybody that was in the slightest bit interested has pirated it and played with the fan translation by now.

Having said that I'd still buy it like the good goy that I am.
