Okay, legit question OP. Is Pillars of Eternity plus The White March expansion worth 33 dollars. I see the game on sale right now on GoG but having doubts since with 33 bucks I can use it for 20 other old titles that cost 1.50$.

Meh, for it was just too tryhard DEEP LORE writting, but then again the whole game was like that. I would have liked a bit more humor and less exposition about souls. One of the reasons I enjoyed Divinity OS a lot more was because it didnt take itself so seriously, it tried to be a fun swords&sorcery adventure, not a book about metaphysics and psychology.

Its kind of mediocre IMO. Theres waaaaay to much exposition, most of the companions are unlikeable and combat flows so fast theres little time for tactical thinking, even with the pause button; by the time your wizard finishes his casting animation his target will be on the other side of the screen. Also the expansions fucked up the XP curve, by the time you finish WM2 you'll have reached the level cap and still have half a game to go. Get it if you're starving for a wrpg and have nothing better to choose, I would go for Divinity OS enhanced edition or Shadowrun Hong Kong instead.

The thing that sucks is those shitty backer npcs are virtually all the npcs in the game not involved in quests. The game looks so fucking sparse and empty with that mod. I wish there was just one to give them generic text or something.

Yep. They literally just added a 7 bucks DLC that adds random events in the overworld. The game ends with a cliffhanger and this first expansion is only gonna add content in the middle of the game.

Avoid like the plague until it's fully done.
