P5 = P2 > P3fes > P1 > P4

Persona 4 is easily the black sheep of the series and rightly belongs in trash tier. It's literal became the cancer of the series by holding back new entries with its needless and excess spin offs. Nothing it did, did it do well.

The social links outside the main party are utterly forgettable except for Hermit. The plot over compensated the "murders" by making the games aesthetic cheerful shiny happy people holding hands, like they were afraid to get their hands dirty. A tacked on true ending that feels utterly disjointed from the main game. Copies Persona 3's final confrontation but with a lot less emotional weight behind it. The games theme about persuing the truth is ironically handled better by persona 5. P5 lays out hints consistently that would lead you to the correct answer well before it appears where as 4 your entire detective work boils down to "Who was in all these locations at that time... Oh look its Adachi"

P4's villain and threat ceases being a threat once you start dealing with the shadow realm. Nothing worse than a shitty villain.
