Snes - PS2 were dominated by Japanese vidiya, it's only last gen that western games sprouted up and now they had their brief time in the spotlight they are all slowly going away because they exhausted their creaitve limits which basically ammounted to guns, medivil rpgs and indie games. They can't into third person action gameplay where as japs can and because of that their potential is limitless and jap vidiya will run circles around the western industry once more. I actually didn't hate it, but after getting the plat I just didn't understand why everyone loved it.

Every time it ends, it just well... ends. Theres no real payoff for getting any ending and I don't even see any cool philosophical shit to think about after I beat it either.

The combat, music and setting are great, but I didnt feel like anything I did had meaning. You get trickled these small revelations like the aliens being dead the whole time, there being no humans on the moon etc and then nothing of worth happens at the end. Doesnt the robot system controlling them all escape as well? Like I said, nothing of consequence even happens. Were meant to liberate earth from the control of the robots/aliens and pretty much all we do all game is kill some robots and die.
