I think it doesn't stand out in any way.
MGSV ran good, yes, but the only good thing MGSV had was lighting, and even that was washed out.
Everything else was garbage, the texture resolution was really low, draw distance was average, NPC count was incredibly low, 90% of the two maps was just flat ground, low poly count.
And Africa in general looked genuinely ugly.

No shit the game runs good when almost every single part of the game sucks.

It got good reviews off the bat, but Metal Gear fanboys turned on it pretty quickly. Check MGSF or the Snake Soup Forums or whereever else and you'll see the majority of people were pretty upset with it.
