Console business isn't moved by technology at all. It's all about getting money from third party licensing and the market isn't big enough to support another competitor. Know how Sony won this gen with 60 million consoles sold? Samsung sells more smartphones than that every month. Samsung entering the market means the 15 million consoles sold every year have to be split 4 ways instead of 3. Nobody will make money.
