The Zamasu arc was pretty good.

I don't like how Beerus ended up being a "le so funny gag character he sleeps and likes ice cream a lot xP" kind of character dragonball thinks people like for some reason. Also a canon return to Future Trunks to see him grow was super nice, same with Gohan.

Other than that, I have very mixed feelings about Super and there's a lot of times the series just kind of expects you to just go with stupid shit because none of the people making the show care about it as much as the average fan does.

The Zamasu arc was the only time in Super that Goku and Vegeta had to actually try to fight against a new threat. Zamasu had an actual motivation unlike Cell, was legitimately powerful as fuck, and had some great fight scenes for Goku, Trunks, and Vegeta. We got a spirit greatsword, Vegetto blue, a father son galick gun, and that awesome scene where Gohan shows up to wave Trunks and Mai off to wish them luck. Plus Giygas Zamasu and a dragonball villain that was literally completely unstoppable short of asking actual god to just kill him.

I've never played a single DBZ fighting game where spamming ults won't win 90% of encounters.

Except it's not. It literally shares all of the fundamentals and gameplay systems with competitive, traditional 2d fighters.

The only ways it differs is the phase shift mechanic, which is basically just a infinite prevention/combo breaker mechanic to force a return to neutral, the attack height system having 6 heights instead of 3 and allowing attacks to go over or under one another for punishes, and instead of grab teching existing, attacks beating grabs instead.

Tenshinhan and Yamcha will both be there, I guarantee it.

Reason being. they aren't characters that would be worth selling as DLC. There are a lot of characters that would be viable DLC, but Yamcha and Tenshinhan aren't two of them. They don't have the marketability. So instead they'll be included in the base game.

There's no way the ArcSys would make the game without them at all, because the two are very well rounded characters in terms of fighting style which makes them a gold mine for a game like this.
