This, no matter how close to the original it is, there are going to be differences, which the core Melee competitive community will dislike. At that point may as well just make a new Smash game.

I wouldn't expect Melee HD but I wouldn't be surprised if we get Virtual Console Gamecube games this gen. A similarly specced Tegra tablet runs Dolphin well.
