I have zero interest in paying for a gimmick machine with not games, even if it was like $50.
Games
Lower price

Having enough money to buy one
Enough disposable income that all higher priority purchases have already been checked off the list.
An income
>>380496937
I'm paid to play
Someone breaking into my house and stealing my Rift.
>>380496937
why would I want another?
A lower price.
A second generation that irons out the faults from the first generation.
A proper "system seller" game exclusively for VR.
>>380496937
800 dollars
Half Life 3
Having the room to set one up. If I buy one, I would have to move furniture to set up the cameras
>>380497818
Poor fag who has never tried it
The vive is fuckin incredible, admit it. The only thing keeping everyone from having it is the price. You haven't lived until you played Serious Sam VR.
>>380497825
This.
>>380496937
A $200 pricetag AT MOST. $800 is ridiculous.
It would take getting me to actually care about post 2008 video games.
I already have one. Neat gimmick, but honestly not worth it.
At least VR porn is nice sometimes.
It's $600 for both the Rift and the Touch controllers. Seems like a better deal than $800 for the Vive. Plus I hear the Rift is more comfy.
>>380496937
a consumer friendly price. 700 dollars is too steep.
self-heating, lubricating, and cleaning mechanical onaholes
>>380496937
Terminal cancer might cause me to check one out but probably not buy.
VR homosexual furry simulator
>>380499798
>At least VR porn is nice sometimes.
the only reason for any of us to get one. you might as well get a samsung phone in that case.
I want to play flight sims with it though so...Also maybe some day there will be a VR Steel Battalion.
Price drop, more games that support it that are not $40 tech demos, new revision that is lighter and has a better screen/less cable management.
Wireless and 80% price drop
>>380496937
it having games and me having money
>>380496937
Already got my vive! Will probably by the next model too :^) LGs steamvr looks cool too, btw. but no reason to get that if you already have a steamvr compatible one.
>>380499798
i wish VR porn wasn't the same video over and over again basically
honestly the most novel that has gotten has been simulated sitting in a coffee shop staring at some lady's tits from across the table. it's like the crappily acted intro from regular porn everyone usually skips but in VR it's suddenly the best thing ever

The videos tend to be pretty hit or miss, yeah. There are a handful of decent games out there, though mostly for niche fetishes. Looking forward to when there are more of a decent quality, and when the decent ones are more fleshed out.
But I already have one.
>>380504094
Which games would you recommend? I've only really played Honey Select, Monster Girl Island and Waifu Sex Simulator.
>>380498842
I gotta agree with this anon. VR has a long way to go but it's off to a great start imo.
>>380496937
You would have to pay me substantial sums of money for me to have one of those pieces of shit in my home, even though it would only take up closet space.
VR in its current incarnation is still garbage, and I have no interest at all until we have the equivalent of The Matrix/SAO/Holodecks.
Anything less than that can go fuck itself.
>>380496937
first person shooters that allow walking
>>380504617
Exactly anon. For something we didn't have 5 years ago, it's already god damn breath taking. If the future of all VR is anything like the Vive, it's gonna be stellar.
>>380504515
Those are a good starting place. Worth trying out VR Kanojo as well; it is very short, but good nonetheless. If you're into furshit (isn't for me, but who am I to judge) there is yiffalicious.
There honestly isn't much high quality stuff yet, but a lot of promising things in the works by various people. A few short demos and such that look nice (meakrob47's demo looks good, for example). Personally really looking forward to see how Monster Girl Island turns out.
>>380496937
apparently playing it a little at a friends house and becoming really impressed at how precise the technology.
I haven't used it much, but it is definitely cool technology.
>>380505640
VR Kanojo isn't able to get free, is it? Are there English translations for it?
Not really into furry shit too much but eh, maybe I'll check it out just as an excuse to use my Vive.
>>380505194
Serious Sam Second Encounter.
checkm8
>>380496937
For it to be half price.
>>380506246
You can probably find a torrent or something for VR Kanojo. It was released in English, so there shouldn't be a need to find a translation patch or anything, the the game itself has received patches since release, I imagine you can easily enough apply the official patches to a pirated copy, similar to honey select or any other illusion game.
>>380506672
Oh cool, I didn't realize it was released in English. I'll try to find a torrent this weekend, thanks.
>>380496937
Infinite room scale.
Physical feedback.
Great games.
ex vive owner here
its amazing for the month that Microsoft lets me keep it for free
then return it, they don't ask questions
the resolution is too low and it needs to be wireless. Then maybe.
