is hdr a meme?

no pc monitors do it well, so yes it's a meme and waste of money

It looks nice, but it isn't worth upgrading to just for it. I like to think of it more as a nice extra option then "OMG YOU NEED TO PLAY IT WITH HDR OR YOU ARE GETTING A WORSE EXPERIENCE!"

It's basically just a new industry standard for contrast / brightness and color depth. A standard that the vast majority of media does not yet meet. It isn't so much a feature as a label assuring you of a certain image quality.
