I've never played Destiny since I'm a PC gamer, but from gameplay videos I've seen of it it looks like the most dull fucking shooter I have ever seen. Total opposite of DOOM.

Doom. How is this even a fair comparison? Some console shooter for tweens that played halo when they were 7 and never touched pso (destiny's structure is basically phantasy start online) vs a fast paced proper shooter with challenging, tense firefights suplemented with great music...There's a reason destiny is a loot shooter, they need something to incentivize their player base because it definitely isn't the game play lol.

I didn't have a pc back in the day that could run quake, only doom with the borders. Is it worth it to go back and play their single player? Any mods to look for for it, like brutal doom for doom?

The game is fine without mods to be honest, start from the beginning. Also, you might find yourself playing arena a lot more than you should.

Oh man this is a hard one.
On one hand, DOOM has fun as fuck gameplay.
On the other hand, Destiny is infinitely more replayable.
Could you just put Doomguy in Destiny? Let me punch a hole into a Cabal Legionary and then cast electric fist inside the motherfucker?

Doom is a fun dynamic game. Destiny is slow grindy shit. I doubt there's much of a choice.

destinys "replay value" for me was about 5 minutes

you never do anything different you just endlessly shoot the same enemies for an hour straight so you can get a gun with bigger numbers so you can go shoot enemy with higher HP

that is not replay value, if you are obsessively into shit like that it is a flaw with your personality, the game is not providing any replay value, the game is only providing a playground for weak minds to be addicted
