They're similar in size, and the button layout is more ergonomic on the Xbox controllers because your hands are not forced to the center of the controller. The D-pad on both controllers are barely used, and the left thumbstick often is the primary one. Symmetrical =/= better for everything, but nice try.

DS4 layout is perfect and the symmetrical sticks are ideal for games like Dark Souls where you use both sticks the majority of the time. The only reason Nintendo and Xbox don't use the DualShock lay-out is because Sony patented that shit years before the original Xbox controller was ever concieved.
