No, I'm supporting the few companies that aren't ruining the PC platform, but since there aren't many of those around I'm still only paying for videogames about as often as a leap year comes around.

Everyone who worked on the game has already been paid. Developers, artists, and programmers don't work for free and then get a cut of the pie. This only does good things for the industry as it cuts chaff and promotes good works. Of course, not everyone does this, but buying games blindly regardless of quality is how you get your Mass Effect Andromedas. I make it no mystery that I pirate 90% of my games before thought of purchase ever enters my mind.

Like it or not, the point of it is to delay the cracking of the game long enough that people buy during the hype of the first week of release.

After that point people who aren't fully committed will probably pirate or stay away from it anyway.

I don't pirate but still hate Denuvo. it destroys the longevity of games. Once a denuvo-protected game server goes down, that game is dead.
