It's really stupid, X doesn't fight anything like this in his games. X's playstyle should be more akin to Arthur's, as a long range keep away / zoning character who spams various projectiles. That's how you play X in his games. X doesn't punch and kick people.

MvC3 Zero makes sense because he's all about being up close and personal with his sword and myriad of crazy Japanese name attacks that nobody knows how to pronounce.

Those Ultron drones have virtually no health. Every character in the demo can do a mediocre combo without any Active Switching and take out all of its health.

WITH consecutive Active Switching, you can get Thor and Spencer to tear a huge chunk out of Ultron Sigma's obscene health bar each time you land a hit on him.

Bad roster picks that omit many fan favorites and series staples, bad voice acting, bad sound levels, some bad models, bad UI, bad DLC plan, and bad marketing after MVC3 set the bar high with great trailers showcasing the characters and their great theme songs that got everyone hyped. Even MODOK's only took a minute to convince you why that guy belonged in the game, when prior to that very few people knew they wanted him. The way they're doing trailers is tragic, they just dump a batch of characters into a generic gameplay trailer and call it a day.

I'm open-minded about the changes Infinite makes to the core gameplay (even the 2v2, though I can understand why people want to keep 3v3) and I think the game will be pretty neat in a tournament setting, but I think it's dropping the ball in many aspects that matter and it's making the game a real hard sell. They're screwing up a crucial phase of a game's life cycle where it's supposed to be grabbing everyone's attention and making them want to impulsively buy it for superficial reasons.

Visually, it looks pretty poor, especially in model quality and lighting.
The character roster is missing a bunch of series mainstay characters (namely the XMen) and series favorites, and that pissed off a lot of people who don't have their mains in Infinite. In addition, a bunch of characters already being sold as DLC.
And when some core mechanics were revealed (only 2v2, Infinity Stone stuff) there was some kneejerk dislike just because it wasn't the same as Marvel 2&3.

I've only ever played Marvel 1 previously and don't really have an attachment to any particular characters so the roster is whatever to me.
Having played the demo, I think Infinity is really good. It plays very well even if it looks a little weak.

I havent but I watched a stream He has various projectiles that you can cancel into each other and he can cancel his buster shot into a dash and immediately fire another one. He can easily confirm and convert off of his Boomerang cutters too. Shame he's stuck in such a shitty game, his gameplay is otherwise pretty cool.
