Running around on /g/, it seems a GTX 1070 would give power comparable to the XBX. Raw power-wise the 1070 is better, but console games are usually optimized for the hardware, so it's fair to say it's about equal

It's hard to find a cpu as shit what's in the current x86 twin consoles. That's where a good portion of the cost saving is coming from. There have been some pretty deep discounts on old AMD FX CPUs and motherboards recently to clear stock, but even those are way better than what's in the consoles.

It all depends on what you're playing. I could play some games in 4K on my old 2GB GTX 770. XBOX has essentially an RX 480 + ~10% more compute units, so it's a bit better than a 1060.

Sure, 60fps is better than 30, no one is disputing that, but anyone claiming 30fps is unplayable or even a bad experience needs to get the fuck over themselves and grow up. As long as the frame pacing is rock solid, and you're not a prissy little butch, it's fine.

Not ideal, but fine, and not actually worth complaining about.

Honestly, given what games were like during 5th gen, when you were lucky to get 20fps in a lot of games that were still fucking brilliant, it really drives home what a bunch of fucking soft, whiney, entitled little cry babies people are today.
