Sometimes the AI is ridiculous (Pikmin not coming when you whistle, they'll trip and get stuck, etc), sometimes Pikmin will just disappear (I've lost lots of Pikmin from them just disappearing into thin air)
But the core gameplay is really good, beating the clock your first play through is pretty hard, and it's not really like any other game I've tried

Play the Wii versions though if you want to save yourself a headache

I believe they clip through the floor actually when that happens.

I'll be honest, I haven't played the Wii versions (only have Pikmin 1 and 2 on GCN), but from what I've picked up in the Pikmin threads, the new controls on Wii are very fluid and add a lot to the game
