Yoshi is cute and I love yoshi games.

Sure, they're easier than they used to be, but they always have that charm that makes even my dead cold black heart warm up a little bit. They're just so innocent and cutesy in a way that I like that I can't help but be happy.

Compared to all the other games in the series? It was definitely a lot harder. Especially if you want to 100% every stage, which is incredibly hard to do.

This was honestly the biggest disappointment of the show for me. It just looks really bland and uninspiring, and after discovering it's from Good Feel, it made me sadder.

I just expected a lot more from them. Woolly World was absolutely fantastic.

I don't think so at all. I can 100% every stage in Yoshi's Island with no problem. Most of it is obvious, while in Woolly World you can overlook practically anything. What you've described is literally how the SNES game is. They take that way further in Woolly World. I'm still having a rough time finding things in stages I've played 5 times already.

I don't think this makes it good design though, being able to play through a level 5 times and miss the objects you need because they're hidden isn't very fun, is it?
Though I guess you can say the same shit for YI, since all the red coins are hidden as regular coins, which is pretty fucking annoying

Looks nice. Though I dislike the current artstyle of Yoshi game as it looked pretty simple and childish, as the environments literally look like they're made poorly with the clashing materials. I know that's the main intention of the yoshi series in it's style, with the chalk-like style of first 4 yoshi games and the yarn style. But these styles are actually applied correctly, and done in a better way. Even the Yoshi's Yarn World looks less childish than Yoshi game.

They could've gone with the Tearaway style for the environments which looked less "childish", which looked much better than what Yoshi game did to keep a paper aspect for the style.

I hope that this is not the final artstyle as Yoshi Wooly World got it's art style changed from the LBP-like style in the first E3 showing before the current yarn/wool style in the final.

I don't think there is any problem with the style in this trailer. I wish they went back to the first game's style though.

I liked woolly world as a one-off, but I don't think Yoshi really needed another arts and crafts setting. I want another game akin to Yoshi's Story or Island.
