Like Shadow Dragon, it's missing a chunk of stuff from earlier games, but it's much more bearable. It's also the first game in the series to have an MU, and they add an entire prologue to get you up to speed/get a few extra levels on units who'll rejoin later.

Also, keep a guide handy. There's hidden stuff strewn across the game, and you're going to want to be constantly vigilant so you're not locked out of the true ending.

All in all, it's fun, but some stuff will trip you up, like Axes actually having reasonable hit rates.

They actual have some of the better maps in the series, gaiden chapters with 12 actual explaining about how to recruit a character or find a star shard through the base conversations. Most things were fixed, except dismounting nerf being gone, Stars Shards only give a slight bost to stats that are not even worth it and a dying character surviving
