The difference is that Valvrave was always going to end up dumb. The premise was stupid to begin with.

Guilty Crown went off the rails, caught air, landed upright and managed to maintain speed into a chemical plant four kilometers away.

Inori dies, Shu loses his sight and much of his mobility, end scene is him sitting on a park bench imagining her.

I really wish that Ayase picked up the protagonist ball. Then he could have died in peace in the finale.

So we've got at least one Brit, two Scots and a whole bunch of Burgers. I'd imagine there's some kind of in-universe regional accent type situation here. Rex and wherever he comes from might be the most directly descended from the old world.
