Why is this the only game with full cross platform play?

Controller is superior to mouse for this game so there's no impact on skill between platforms.

360 tried cross platform back when GFWL launched.
Problem was PC kicked the living shit out of 360's ass constantly. It got so bad that on the posterboy game, shadowrun, they nerfed PC only. They even had a alpha-ish port of halo 3 (advertised on their client store/standalone chat) for like 5 days before they removed it because everyday gamers where being put on PC vs pro egl teams on 360, and the 360 was losing almost every match.

The fear became that if it became known that PC (who was about to go free gold because they sub numbers were less than 5k paying PC only) where winning every god damn match, their main audience (at the time), the FPS halo/cod/GoW fanboys who turn into butthurt screaming manchildren at the thought of losing, would stop paying for gold on 360 if they lost to much, so it got scrapped.

sony doesn't allow crossplay with xbox, nintendo with RL or MC

It's not full cross platform play though. PS doesn't play with Xbox/Switch.

With PC you can play against Xbox and Switch OR against PS
