I didn't buy the remaster since I'd already played it in HD on an emulator. So it's been a long time since I've played it. I can't fucking wait to play it again in 4k with modern graphics. They might even add new bosses, they originally planned 24 and scrapped 8 of them and blocked off a lot of the map.

The graphics look worse than the PS2 game. Too clean and the characters look like they're made of plasticine. The original game basically just ignored all the technical restrictions imposed on it (at the cost of running like a dog), so there's not anything here to actually improve on except raising some values (resolution, framerate, and pop-in distance) which can all be done in an emulator anyway. What a complete waste.
