I'm a Nintenbro and a Monster Hunter fan and would really like a new mainline Monster Hunter game for the Switch. When Monster Hunter World was revealed I was skeptical and relieved that it wasn't going to be Monster Hunter 5 and that they were focusing on the western market.
But seeing more of the game and knowing that it's being developed by the main Monster Hunter Team, it striked to me that this is actually Monster Hunter 5, Capcom was just too scared to name it like that because of the japanese reactions. But turns out the japanese reactions are also great so far.
I won't lie, I'm really sad it's skipping Nintendo, but if I had to be objective here I would say it's turning out to be a really great game, there are all 14 weapons, the monster are amazing, they didn't casualize the Great Sword, the maps are really pretty and the level design is looking pretty good. I honestly can't see why some people are criticizing it so much. But it seriously hurt seeing Capcom telling Nintendo to fuck themselves after so many years of partnership and respect for the Monster Hunter franchise.

More like Capcom' Double Cross
Nintendo should cut ties with Capcom completely and forbid them from releasing any future Monster Hunter game on the Switch, just to fuck them over and make them learn some consequences of those "betrayals" the like so much.
