As someone who only owns a PS4 as a companion to my gaming PC and mostly owns Japanese games, I found E3 to be pretty disappointing. I was really hoping for the new From Software game.

God of War looks pretty cool though.

E3 was pretty dissapointing because they didn't come with many surprises this time around.

That being said, i think most of what they showed was solid.

It was in every sense of the words "A bad Sony E3" but not in general.

FPS games has good support on the pro, Titanfall 2, BF1, CoD, if you play any of those.

And the price is just super affordable, no matter which model you choose. Personally, I'll be getting the pro for the increased performance but the Slim model is just as good. Plus, like you said, it comes with a free game to get your collection started.

All these can't-miss exclusives are amazing. I already have a regular PS4 and I know that millions of others also have one... but I'm going to just go to my nearest retailer and trade in my regular PS4 for the Pro version. That way I can get the new system with a sweet discount. And because the PSN is account-based, all my PSN games and saves will be waiting for me, unchanged, as soon as I log in. So convenient.

I have the Pro and it's pretty pointless... But it is your choice. With the Pro at least you'll be sure that games will always be 1080p or higher instead of some weird 900p or lower resolution. Fame-rate will stay the same tho, since they share exactly the same CPU.

Just get a slim, it's pretty cheap. Last I checked a friend of mine got a gold slim for $250.

My ps4 pro started to smell like burning plastic after a long session of fallout 4. I turned it off and let it cooldown for like 1-2 hours and wiped some dust that was near console. Then i turned it back for like 1h to watch e3 from twitch and no smell after that. Could it be just the dust or can this be something more serious?

You really can't go wrong. Slim is super affordable and will play any game that Pro will play. The Pro is the more hardcore option for the gamer who is looking for a little bit more horsepower and higher graphical capability from his gaming experience.

No, it's not, I feel gutted, Sony betrayed us. Remember me? I was claiming that PC + PS4 is the true master race combo, but this E3 proved me wrong. I feel really bad, I feel like I wasted a lot of money on my PS4 Pro. What a disaster. They said nothing about Death Stranding and Deep Down. Bloodborne 2 didn't get announced, Studio Japan was working on a fucking Shadow of the Colossus remaster/remake that people already played on PS2 and PS3, so they couldn't have been working on Bloodborne 2 which means that Bloodborne 2 is not happening. Days Gone turned out to be an interactive movie dogshit with horrible enemy AI. Spider-Man turned out to be an interactive movie dogshit infested with quick time events and no real physics/momentum based webslinging. God of War looked decent, but isn't coming until 2018. This E3 was an absolute disaster for Sony and PS4! Metro Exodus, Code Vein and Monster Hunter World will all be available on the PC. What is the point of owning a PS4 then? Only PC games I'm looking forward to:

There's a few others and it's obviously the best choice for multiplat games and hardcore 4k/60fps settings but it can get really lonely from time to time. Only go PC if you like playing specific games for a longer period of time rather than shorter.
