Overall, pretty happy. I mean, Warriors style gameplay can get pretty boring, but these improvements might make the game worth picking up.

I lost all hope after they said it was only going to be FE11, 12, 13, and 14, even though FE11 is my favorite in the series, I don't care for 13, and never even bothered playing 14, and I can already tell that the roster will probably include like 5 characters at most from 11/12 with all the others being 13/14, plus the fact that its just a shitty roster in general for only including 4 games, so I have no expectations and won't be getting a Switch for it as I initially planned.
Now, even though I'm not buying, I still feel the need to complain about this, putting the FE styled level up in a musou is a fucking godawful idea, yeah sure, let's just pause the game every 5 fucking minutes when someone levels up, brilliant.

Awakening is legitimately horrible, probably the single worst game in the series if you take off your nostalgia goggles. The gameplay is reduced to boring, easy shit with no level design and busted mechanics. The story is laughable, throwing the established lore of Archanea/Judgral under the bus for shallow nostalgia pandering and a contrived, idiotic plot with unironic time travel. At the very least, Conquest is enjoyable to play on every difficulty. TMS was disappointing but as a game it's fine, it does a solid job as a Megami Tensei spinoff if not as FE fanservice.

Morale was never a thing in Fire Emblem. If anything, you should hope for more unique FE style mechanics being brought in to change up the stale Warriors style gameplay.

PairUp was already mentioned, but it doesn't seem to do much other than always having a CPU partner with you and powering up your specials.

Personally I want stats to have a more important role. Other than the typical strength/defense/HP upgrades, I want stuff like RES to be important. Like, you should still not send Ike to fight mage commanders because no matter how good you are you're going to lose a lot of HP if you get hit. Stuff like SPD could affect attack speed obviously, but also factor into how many attacks you passively dodge like in FE. Skill could affect how many of your attacks pierce through an opponent that's guarding maybe? Lck would be crits, if they're in this game. Drops too I guess.

Hopefully there would be stat-up items in this game too, but not enough of them that makes leveling/choosing your heroes superfluous. Hopefully we get a gigantic roster where we can pick and choose certain units to train or drop depending on their level ups like an actual Fire Emblem game.

Shadow Dragon has Nagi (who is totally not Naga guys, I'm seriously) make you a back up Falchion if you somehow lose both the original Falchion AND get Tiki killed.

It's actually a popular exploit to grab the Aum staff in chapter 24 and send Tiki (with the Falchion) off to die so the original Falchion gets put back in your convoy for the next level, you revive Tiki, and you grab Nagi for two Divine Dragons.

Two Falchions is just gravy at that point.
