Nintendo showing recap:
>Showed trailers for things we knew about: Arms, Pokken DX, Splatoon 2, Xenoblade 2.
>Announced another weeaboo title that looked alright
>Casual time-wasters announced: Kirby and Yoshi. They look okay.
Big announcements:
>Metroid Prime 4
>Core Pokemon game for Switch in development
These are important announcements, however we will not see these games for a very long time. We did not even get a trailer, screenshots, or any information at all about these titles besides the fact that they are in development.
Noticeably lacking:
>The reveals were short, lasting only about 25 minutes. The remaining time is spent on a showcase of Mario Odyssey
>No Mario Party
>No F-Zero
>No Animal Crossing
>No Star Fox
>And, defying many peoples' speculations, there was NO COMMENT ON SMASH. Smash was not discussed during the conference. It is possible that a port is not in development.
>No comment about the Switch shortage: Nintendo showcased entirely Switch titles but
Verdict:
In my personal opinion, Nintendo "won" E3, with Microsoft in 2nd place and Sony in dead last. However, Nintendo "winning" is deceiving, because there will be nothing playable for a very long time, possibly late 2018. When we don't even have a single screenshot or any information at all about Prime 4 or the new Pokemon game we must assume that these games are in very early pre-alpha development. However, the reason Nintendo won is because Microsoft failed to justify their 4K gaming system with lack of games. Everything they showed was available also on PC. There is no specific reason you need to buy a Xbox One X. Also, the PS4 is capable of 4K. Sony's presentation was an utter joke with the exception of the reveal of a new SotC title. This year overall was a very weak E3.
