Xenoblade 1, due to the weird order of localization, came off BRITISH AS FUCK in the states, so they're clearly carrying that vibe but slightly different.

I love the first Blade and X is one of my favorite RPGs of all time, but I'm not sure how to feel about this.

The designs, style, characters and battle system seem much less Xeno- and way more Tales, which is a big letdown for me.
Hell even the music in the trailer sounded more like generic animu power metal as opposed to what we got in the past few games.
The voice acting is also questionable, it seems like every character has some weird distinct accent. I guess they were trying to do something similar to the first blade but it lacks cohesion this time around imo.

That being said the exploration and world still look fucking amazing, and thats my favorite part of these games, so we'll see what happens.
Either way I still think ninty managed to just edge out sony with metroid, yoshi,
kirby, pokemon, and this. Mario also looks fucking great.

Basically my thoughts. Also the outfits are terrible; X was great in terms of armor design and fashion armor but that 'team shot' during the trailer was like a fashion disaster.

The guy used to design good characters. Not for incredibly long, I mean there was FFVII and VIII with great character designs across the board and then came X and X-2. I guess the latter are supposed to be a bit more esoteric and odd but I don't know.

But even his good designs from VII and VIII he managed to ruin in Dissidia and other later FF-related stuff. Why the fuck did he give Squall a skirt and a t-shirt with a cross on it? His original design was so simple and good, even with the crazy belts. Why does he not look like River Phoenix anymore, but instead like fucking Gackt?
