Interview with Akihiro Hino, President of Level-5 and Keiji Inafune
http://blog.esuteru.com/archives/20014836.html
>Since we worked together in "GUILD 02", there was a story that I wanted to do something together
>Inafune: "From the time I was in Capcom, there was a desire to be like Mr Hino."
>"LEVEL 5 comcept" is a company in which each other's feelings became one (?)
>Based on the staff of comcept, the new company will get involved with President Hino
>Although comcept is scheduled to close in the future, it will take responsibility to the title which is currently working to the end. (Red Ash?)
>Becomes a subsidiary of Level-5. Instead of handling instructions and handling the titles, the idea is that the comcept team and Hino will be making games together
>Osaka is the base. In the future they would like it to be Level-5's Osaka studio.
>Now it is about 15 people, mainly comcept members, but want to increase more and more in the future
>"Dragon Colonies", will be released in 2018, but dunno if it's a mobile game or what.

RIP in Peace
Con man
2013-2017
Level 5 bought comcept?
Wow
cant wait for the rise and foll documentary of CON MAN
so is he still making this?
>>380271728
But he is working at L5 now.
>>380272212
They NEVER released the full episodes of the MN9 documentary either. Just the first one.
>>380272361
It means that Con Man Studios is dead. He went from being CEO of his own three companies, to an employee of another. He had dreams of turning Comcept into the new Capcom, with Mega Man clone series.
>>380272338
We've got zero word on that. So who knows. Likely it's dead.
>>380272550
red ash anime came out recently, I think it might still be happening
>>380272665
The anime short did. It was supposed to be a full series, with each episode a stretch goal. They only got funded for ONE episode. Since this was made by a totally different group (4C studios), it has no bearing on Red Ash the game.
>>380273217
He actually wrote such a book? Thats really funny.
>>380273468
Not just one book, but three.
guy's got an ego.
>>380274027
These were short books written right after leaving Capcom, so he was still seen as this genius creator. These blurbs are hilarious reading after the fact.
None of the books are translated into English.
inafune haters BTFO
>>380274027
>>380274185
Hahahahahahahaha oh wow
>>380271474
>>380271474
Oh man, this is how he's going to dodge responsibilities for delivering backer rewards for MN9, isn't it?
Burn the company to the ground and let your new boss pick up the corpse, and thus the "new company" is not liable for anything that the previous company was culpable in.
The Rise and fall of Keiji Inafune:
>Gets promoted to head of R&D
>leaves like 6 months later
>Inafune founds THREE companies
>writes three books touting his genius
>does media tours where he's worshipped
>fanbase sees him as a god father of gaming
>Gets deal with Marvelous to make Kaoi: King of Pirates
>Said game gets cancelled in 2015 losing 3.8 million for Marvelous
>Creates course in game design
>Intercept closes shop (company #1)
>Ding closes shop (Company #2)
>Soul Sacrifice is their only hit
>MN9 gets big money and big promises
>Becomes a big joke and one of the biggest gaming blunders ever
>Gaming design course gets shut down
>Comcept gets bought out by Level 5 (Company #3)
>is proven to be an inept businessman
>>380274027
>>380274897
>implying Con Man cares about what a bunch of Gaijin nerds think
They made the merger since Comcept has no fucking money.
>>380275539
Can you believe it?
All those backer rewards they promised to those gullible idiots will never happen. The only ones who got anything were the people who asked for the simple T-shirt and plush toy.
>>380275909
3DS and Vita version will never happen. Only half the backer rewards were shipped. Their current strategy is to just never talk about them and hope people forget.
There's a legal case here, but you'd have to spend years of litigation, file this shit in Japan of all places, and the end result would likely be them just admitting it's never going to happen and giving some compensation.
>the guy who actually made megaman left capcom and made some amazingly technically impressive game on the NES and then fell off the face of the earth
>this faggot showed up and claimed his glory and has gone on to scam everyone for the last 20 years
>>380275909
Did the dinner with Inafune stretch goal happen?
