The Last of Us and GoW were both pretty much moving from set piece to set piece. GoW you mowed down hordes of enemies (crowd control etc.) while TLoU was more about taking in the atmosphere and lore of a ruined world in between.

While I enjoyed both games, I found the actual action in TLoU to be pretty boring and it was my least favourite part of the game (the gameplay in TLoU is pretty mediocre but everything else about it was great), while conversely I loved killing hordes of enemies, but the QTE sections and combatless portions weren't nearly as fun as they could have.

It won't be the same as the other GoW games, but I'm willing to give it a chance even if it is more a spiritual successor to TLoU more than GoW.

I already know I'm buying it, and enjoying it. Just release it already

I like the idea but as they are portrayed in the game the gods are hardly anything. They have the power theyre born with but since they have no drive to do anything but fuck with mortals they end up not being able to compete with someone who has trained to fight and kill for real. Thats the entire god of war premise. Kratos worked hard from a young age to become a warrior. His oppositon could hardly delay their deaths through magick or trickery but eventually he got around each of them.

Fun fact: kratos did more for the mortals more than every god together. He wiped the world clean of gods and weak humans so that only the strong would prosper. He also released hope into the world so people could grow without being bothered by otherworldy beings

For the people complaining about Kratos: he is old as shit. If not for zeus genetics he'd be long dead. Its implied a long time has passed since 3.

I think it looks amazing OP. I 've always had a vision in my head of a game where you encounter Jörmungand on the sea and this looked pretty much as good as I could imagine it. I also dig the design they're going for, makes it look really ancient and filthy (fits since it's supposed to be filled with poison).

In the trailer he appeared to be an ally but I also imagine that the throwing axe could make for a very entertaining battle later on where you're exposed on a boat as his head charges you and you have to repel its lunge with a well timed throw to its eyes.
