It was a mistake for Sony to show a bunch of VR games taking up their short hour
I dunno if the conference would have gone better regarding what they would have shown if not the VR stuff, but I still think it was a mistake
The point of E3 is to build hype for upcoming games, VR is still not commonly accepted because developers are still playing it safe and not pushing the boundaries with VR, that's why no one gives a shit about VR
I have full confidence no audience member walked into that conference thinking "I hope they'll show some new VR games!"
VR at this point is a bit of a gimmick and still not fully implemented into normality in gaming
Making VR games is not easy.
Either you make a game with full mobility that has a chance of the player getting natural motion sickness, Skyrim, Fallout4 VR for example.
Or you have to develop some stop and go map traveling mechanic for a arcade style shooting scenario, DOOM for another example.
Also it looks like developers are having a hard time deciding either to put arms in the VR experience as well, I have no idea but it looks like it has to be a confirmed design experience regardless of user preference sometimes.
TLDR: It's fucking complicated you underage faggot.
I'm not buying into any VR yet because there's too much fragmentation with Rift, Vive, PSVR, etc and I'll be damned if I'm going to drop $400 minimum for the losing proprietary headset
And that is why VR will fail for this generation or whatever, because everyone else is thinking the same

The mistake was not announcing a price cut on the damn thing.

Sony sell millons VR, don't announce on E3 would be dead of PlayStation VR
So what VR games should we showcase in our short E3 presentation to get people to buy PSVR?
>VR SIDESCROLLER
>VR FISHING GAME
>VR 7-YEAR OLD SKYRIM
>VR RE7 RIPOFF
>VR TOP DOWN INDIESHIT
Yeah people don't give a shit about boooring games like Gran Turismo, Ace Combat, or War Thunder, they're not the main draw of our $400 gimmick accessory
Superhot and Skyrim for PSVR is great news. Happy that they aren't letting it die yet.
