Play King's Field 2 if you want to know how shit their games were back then compared to Majoras Mask and Prime 1 for instance. And play Souls 1 again without being influenced by the "you are not hardcore if you don't like this game" hype.

Even hoping they're just touching a Metroid shows you have zero clue about video games. None of their have showed anything of what it takes to make Metroid. No puzzle-solving, no clever platforming, no boss fights that favor positioning over iframe abuse, no colorful worlds, no varied gameplay, no OSTs throughout a game.

Protip, it's going to be Mario Odyssey, Zelda DLC, indie sizzle reel, and a focus on Splatoon 2 because that's what's releasing soon. Nobody gives a FUCK about Metroid or F-Zero when the system's just out, because they can still get sales for the system with easy sells like shitty party games. Wait until next year when they have to convince everybody who hasn't bought a Switch to buy one for the Metroids and F-Zeros.
