This E3 has been pretty boring but what I've liked so far has been is Wolfenstein2, Skull and Crossbones, Ori and the will of the wisps, Spider-Man and Ace Combat 7. And while I don't own a Switch, Mario-com looks surprisingly decent. I'm still trying to wrap my head around WHY they had to use Rabbids and I hope Rayman can be unlocked as a secret character but it wasn't the sideshow I was expecting.

Also I've never played The Evil Within, it it decent enough to get a copy? The trailer for the sequel piqued my interest.

they really fooled me right at the start of this gen with the ps4 reveal. cerny said we were headed for a 'gaming renaissance' of the ps2 era with the ps4, due to how easy it is to develop games for it (unlike cell). I really thought this would encourage developers to go back to taking risks or just make more 'hardcore' (I hate that term) games that appeal to less wide of an audience since costs are lower. all that's happened is we're getting more and more cinematic with AAA gaming as more time goes on. there's no reason for this trend to stop.

This is the one game I have hope for that was revealed. If it actually manages to have a real survival horror feel and/or manages to be a legitimately difficult game with high replay value it could be another one of the modern classics we'll have from this gen. I don't wanna be that guy bro, but the handling mechanics are gonna be terrible. It's on the Frostbite Engine, which is terrible for car physics as was seen in NFS2015 (but you haven't played that so..). In short, drifting around corners is a mess since the game will decide whether you want to initiate a drift and not by your own inputs, meaning you will struggle to take turns. Like I said, this happened in NFS 2015 so I'm not bullshitting here. You can actually see in the gameplay footage itself the player struggling to take a turn. It's also going to be heavily story oriented, which is a bad thing since NFS does not have a good history with good storylines at all. I guess that's subjective though.

Yeah I like the era thing in 5 too with all the other shifting tactics evolved. Like some resources or products being more profitable in some era's then others. But the game should focus less on the modern times. It should shine in during the world wars and cold war when the player should play the great powers against each other.
And I really like the aesthetics of the older buildings in 5 in the ohter ones you are stuck with the concrete blocks of the 60's. The buildings of 5 enable you to build a historical city center which the other games don't allow.

Dynasties concerned, I thought it was rather shallow and did't bother with them much in 5. It would be better if your leader would die of old age so you have to take the shift in leadership into account. Rather then having an immortal leader which only steps down if you decide to do so.
