So this is what we do now?
We create controversy based on right leaning controversy in video games to get them popularity?
Look at /v/ in the last couple days. Do you honestly expect me to believe all these people getting butthurt, and all these people adding fuel to the fire or saying shit like, "get back to /pol/" aren't shills and marketers?
This is the exact kind of shit we've seen all before, and people are falling for it hook line a sinker.
This is just the same as Ubisoft saying, "Hurr this will be controversial in the age of Trump" during their marketing of Far Cry, despite how much mass media fucking hates him. I can't go a single fucking day without the media being shitted up with this shit. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't care less about Trump or American politics in general, but are you guys honestly trying to tell me this shit is controversial when the whole fucking world hates it?
I feel like everyone behind E3 knew how fucking awful it was, so they decided, "HEY, LETS JUST CREATE FAKE BULLSHIT TO THROW OFF CRITICISM"
So what you're saying is that, like the media, the gaming industry is another arm of fake news?

The Wolfenstein and Far Cry threads and tweets are 100% fake and being done to drum up controversy.
The Far Cry ones were getting posted on an hourly basis on /pol/ and they just spammed the same;
>I'm so fucking mad. What are we going to do about this!?
Followed by normal posters saying;
>...Wut? I don't get it. What are we mad about? Is this a video game?

He's mad that video game marketing has caught up with 1980's horror movie marketing (whereby they would organize fake church group pickets of movies to get attention)
>>380253603
>le fake news meme
>entirety of E3 is fucking awful
>everyone behind E3 knows this
>turn games into controversy by showing vaguely anti-right wing shit
>no one cares though, and your plan fails
>go to reddit, 4chan and other popular gaming websites
>shitpost until it becomes controversial
>thereby gaining recognition
>>380253402
None of the controversy is actually real.
I'm suprised it took you this long to realize it's all marketing and shitposting.
Try not to let it get to you.

>Do you honestly expect me to believe all these people getting butthurt, and all these people adding fuel to the fire or saying shit like, "get back to /pol/" aren't shills
I honestly believe that 90% of the WE WUZ posting is unironical. Because its gotten gradually worse over the last years. Shitposters simply know what they can get away with and how easy they are back from a ban.
I mean, I'm not saying marketers are above this. No fucking way. But actually thinking that /v/ is above this, is even more ridiculous. Because thats kinda what you're doing. By blaming it on marketers, you say that /v/ would never be so stupid. But we all know it is.
