Well, Metroid games did fine for decades before going to shit with Other M and Federation. The 2D Metroid were masterpieces. Prime Trilogy was amazing.

Look at Ape Escape instead. AE 1 was good. AE 2 was fun for the nostalgia but generic mostly. AE 3 was shit.

We have one good game (AE) vs. a legacy that fell in hard times (Metroid). Does it look the same to you?
