4 player lobby system is still in for party hunts. Flares are for solo hunting allowing people who see it to choose to help your hunt. They haven't revealed what the limitations of that are.

Potions, gathering, armor and weapon crafting, cooking is still in. They even show a flash bomb getting used at one point.

All 14 weapon types are in.

They kept ledge drop and air drop attacks. Blocking, dodge rolling, and greatswords back swing have been shown.

They improved climbing and mounting, and added a bunch of concept shit that was cut from the first Monster Hunter like ghillie suit items.

Game is pseudo-open world according to the producer. No underwater combat but swimming cutscenes hide loading times between major zone changes. Zones are going to be more like open biomes.
