I never got the appeal of this series

Sure, exploring ancient cities is fun, but everything around it is just.... shit

AC, just like Cod and Arkham games are part of a new generation of games that appeared in the ps3/x360 era.
These games propose no challenge at all, their goal is to attract the maximum of casual players, to dull the pain, and to flatter their ego.

Because of this, the gameplay is almost non existant. So they rely on cinematics, politics, and story to differentiate themselves.

You end up having open world games like TW3, with the exact same gameplay as a arkham game.

I can't help but think of Stargate when watching videos of asscreed.
