Sony slashed the budget hard on E3.
If TGS delivers on the weeb front, it'll be proof the anti-Gaijin sentiment has flared and WW2-2 is starting in the industry.

The only reason MS conference had so many indie games is because they didn't have enough exclusives to show off.

Sony has changed E3 in recent years to only AAA games and no talking/indies. meanwhile PSX is almost entirely indies, and PGW is also a good portion indies.

Idk why they have set it up so each conference only has a certain type of game, but that's just how they do it.
