Well, you have to have Pacifist Neutral conditions first to get the True Pacifist ending, and that requires "beating" the game at least once through one of the Neutral endings. You unlock the path to the best ending after that, and that's the actual, canon, true and best ending. What I mean is that you're aware of the ability to spare monsters by that point and you'd naturally want to not kill anyone, and so usually nobody would start with genocide, which is why the geno route includes superbosses as the game isn't actually made for you to be so OP from the overlevelling.

If you run pacifist, you still can typically take 4-10 hits before dying where as genocide you can take 4-10 hits without dying to the two endurance run bosses. So I tried looking it up but I can't find anything about it so you're just going to have to take my word for it but several months back some of the best fangame makers in the Undertale community were banding together to make an Annoying Dog battle. It looked really good, nicely animated, and all that. But for some bizarre reason, Toby himself shut it down.

Why would he do that? There were plenty of other Annoying Dog fights, they just weren't as polished as the specific one I'm talking about. Toby doesn't seem to be the kind of person to stifle creativity unless they were making money off it, which they weren't. A little bit later, one of the devs said they had come to an agreement with Toby, and implied it was good news.

So I have a good feeling that while we might not get Hard Mode or the ability to save that one child, we will finally get our Annoying Dog fight and it'll look pretty spiffy.

Just want to let you know anon that I actually bought that album. It's pretty fucking good, I must say. What they ended up doing with the soundtrack was really nice. I was just looking at Hibino's discography on his wikipedia page since I have always loved the MGS2 OST, which he largely composed. Imagine my surprise when I read on the page, " A fourth Prescription for Sleep album, announced on November 2, 2016, will feature arrangements from Undertale."

If we're being real here, UT is pretty monetarily cheap to put on the PS4 and honestly it was probably Sony that approached Toby and not the other way around.

That being the case, Toby has a great advantage to bargain from, so he himself probably made the Sony guys create a way for games to crash themselves (if one didn't already exist -- heck, Toby probably got to write his own error message just for this).

As for people speculating hard mode, I doubt it, but I will say that if I were working at Sony and I wanted UT on my console, and Toby said to me, "okay, but you have to send me a few lackeys to help me finish Hard Mode," I would do it in a heartbeat. Thus, while Hard Mode isn't likely, I'd call it possible.
