The fact it took 6 months in between the game release is a lot better than the 4 year wait from Risky's Revenge to Pirate's Curse, or the 8 year wait between the GBC game and RR.

Well it fell off my radar as soon as I finished it.
I finished Pirate's Curse 5 times, Risky Revenge 3 times and HGH 1 time, that must tell you something. I love the look of HGH but it seems that visual upgrade came at the cost of the metroidvania gameplay.

The games are really, really shallow. The artwork is decent if you like the style, but I really can't see how it alone would make the whole experience worth the time and the money.

It isn't quite what I hoped it to be, but the controls are competent and shantae's gameplay feels like an upgrade from Risky's Revenge.
