the most interesting thing of E3 for me was og xbox retro compatibility which is sad, and it's probably never going to support more obscure games which is what it would make it interesting for me

Correct. The Pro's biggest feature over a normal PS4 is that it can actually put out 4K broadcast and upscale instead of the TV just stretching the image. It looks and responds better this way. The thing is, is that the X1X actually renders and outputs in 4K like a gaming PC as opposed to a The Pro which renders anywhere from 900p to 1900p and checkerboard fills in the blanks or just outright stretches the image to fill the rest of the screen.
