Looking like XCom was something a friend had told me before the Switch launched, so it didn't really change my mind, but I did really like the different movement options.

It's kiddy X-Com. That's pretty alright.

The idea is pretty dumb but the execution doesn't look to bad. And personally for me, execution is what matters. Still not really interested in this game because its not my style of game, but there seems to be stuff to like here.

It seems like it could be a good spinoff game like Paper Mario or Mario & Luigi, but the presence of rabbids makes me wary.

VR still has a way to go, having serious companies (Bethesda, Sony) put work into proper VR games that aren't early access tech demos or walking simulators will go a long way to proving the platform can work (or not work, as the case might end up being).
Mario+Rabbids is a lot easier to wrap your head around, doesn't use unproven technology/methods, and importantly won't require dropping like £700 on a Vive and probably the same again on making a PC that can run 1440p@90fps consistently.

It's a weird as fuck formula but at least every piece makes sense on its own.
