The Great Hammer weapon type isn't cut, but maybe certain types of it like a Rathalos Great Hammer or a Great Jaggi hammer are indeed cut from the game. Instead of having hundreds of each weapon under their respective weapon type, it will be cut down to maybe 10 or 20 weapons under each weapon type. So while all 14 weapon types are confirmed and in the game, some weapons are still actually cut.
