They took the same approach as Microsoft (a B- this year); a bunch of games with their mediocre stuff shoved in the middle.

However, their games were almost universally disappointing. We got a spinoff nobody asked for, a remaster to a remaster, a zombie game nobody cares about, a bunch of forgettable VR tripe, Monster Hunter (good but not exclusive), God of the Movie Franchise, and a spider-man movie with BamHam cutplays. Every trailer looked like their movie studios handled it; no gameplay, generic action music, atmospheric pacing (read: boring) and setpieces galore. If this is the state of Sony, give me Ubisoft. At least they had that Mario X-COM thing. Even the crowd wasn't swayed by this shit.

There will be stuff to play on PS4, but it's not games.

Sony unironically sucked and I expected them to out do Microsoft by miles.

I expected big 1st party reveals, like Bloodborne or Little Big Planet. But we got that Zombie game from last year to showcase a bear, that David Cage game which I now know the entire plot to from the trailer, Horizon DLC, and tons of VR shit no one cares about.

Only good thing out of the conference is Spiderman. CoD is multiplat so they don't add anything to the Sony Conference.

Xbox- D+- 499$ price point, 4k NATIVE OMGZ was annoying, the only reason i do not rate it low is because they showed off multiplatformers.which is a change of pace from the talking constantly that they have been known for. Anyone that rates them high is trolling.

Bethesda- F- for paid mods

Ubisoft F+ Assassins Kangz, and Beyond Good and Evil pandering was awful i do not know why anyone would want to buy their products in the future.

PC Gaming- C+ as much as i hate to say it, it was not powerful as it was previously but i was surprised at how there was certain good games like Wargroove(Advance Wars clone) and a few sandbox open world game attempts. The XCOM announcement tied into it ended up pulling it from low average to a high average for me as i didint expect them to announce a huge expansion this year.

Sony- C- The only 3 highlights i liked was God Of War announcement, Monster Hunter World, and Spiderman which ironically Spiderman has not had a good game in awhile and this actually looks like one of the better ones in a long time. The feeling i get is it was good but not powerful.

Nintendo- At best a B if they announce exclusives and at worst a D+ if its just port announcements like Xbox One X.

Final comments: Nintendo in my opinion will more than likely pull it off and win this years E3. They need to really have some surprise announcements this year and they have a chance. Sony to me is not that strong this year when they needed to, definitely better than what was in all the conferences shown so far.

Sony opened up flaccid with the IT department orchestra and bad audio issues during the Uncharted trailer and never really recovered.

Monster Hunter was a nice surprise, but again its a multiplat. From experience a lot of Sony's Western first party exclusives always seem to be all flash and no substance aside from pretty visuals and qte button masher gameplay with nothing much to do after your first playthrough and all the exclusives shown look like they'll be no different. The PSVR games looked like they only had VR tacked on as a last minute gimmick instead of it being part of the core gameplay (espically that 2D VR platformer? and the game were you help the mouse as a pair of ghost hands) SotC remake reveal was kinda neat at least.

Moss was not that bad looking if anything i believe it plays into the strength of VR and it is interactive with puzzles. But you are right though some of these seem like tacked on gimmicks.
