Demolish duration was reduced BECAUSE monk has no other weaponskills to delay clipping it. So now it doesn't clip and even if you think it does, MNK does have a weaponskill outside its forms, it's called Meditate.

The Tornado Kick change is just free, ridiculously huge damage. GL is 16s in SB so all you have to do is use it right after refreshing, assuming it doesn't even let you refresh GL. Otherwise you only get it by blowing Perfect Balance which ruins its actual purpose (building GL) and essentially just makes it 600 potency every 3 minutes, only across 2 buttons instead of 1. This change adds nothing to MNK and is inspired purely by "I wanna do big damage for free".

If you think there's a choice between using PB to build GL and using it for free 600 potency (aoe even, lol), there isn't. You're not losing 600 potency by building up GL manually.

Anybody else missing ARR?

I miss the simplistic, but flexible rotations that changed depending on the situation. Outside of MNK, no job had to stay on the boss to keep some arbitrary timer so all those mechanics were the boss went untargettable weren't a problem.

I miss how all jobs were good in their own way, with their limited utility being very valuable. I miss how defensive utility was good, too.

I miss how much content we used to get in every patch. Multiple trials, random fluff content, 3 dungeons... hell, we had 2 story trials. HW added none.

I miss how compact the world was. The zones were fun to be into, meanwhile HW has huge bland zones that you just fly over and ignore all the land mass.

I miss how crafters and gatherers didn't have stupid weekly caps. Because everybody loved those.

I miss how the cash shop was limited to old event items, or didn't exist at all. I miss getting random side quests that rewarded emotes and minions.

And finally, I miss how Coil didn't have a story mode. It was fun to slowly work on it, I looked forward to every raid day and I'd get excited to down actually new content instead of just difficulty mods.

I want to go back to those times. Is it a trend for MMOs to get worse with time?

I really only know how to do puzzles by watching others because I leveled tank first and DPS people tend to freak the flippity-fuck out if you don't run through the dungeon as fast as possible.

I straight up told the party it was my first time doing a MSQ dungeon and that I'd watch the cutscenes, and the party almost wiped because one of the DPS guys didn't wait and engaged the final boss without me.
