Nope, they're boring corridor shooters. There are only like 3 or 4 different types of mutants and the human enemies are neo-commies and neo-nazies. That's how little imagination went into the game. The only good levels are the surface levels and those are only a couple in the whole game. The rest is just LITERAL corridor shooting and stealth with braindead enemies

Purists don't like the redux, I loved it. Base game has its problems, the redux fixes most of them and updates the graphics.

Metro 2033 is a game like no other, definitely play it

People will tell you to pirate the original versions but unless you have an amazing computer don't bother with the original versions, the Redux versions are just much much more optimized it's not even funny.

As just an example, original 2033 has muzzle flashes actually cast their own shadows. LL's engine doesn't.

Was the very first game I got for my xbox 360. Has been a nice substitude for stalker for some time. Definatly worth it

Played it recently because of the high praises. Start was amazing very good immersion and anxiety feeling in the undergrounds. Got slighty bored then by the repetetive nature. If you have played through 2-3 loading screens you have seen it all.
