It is best to fish for Balance, period. Arrow is sorta trashy. It's not bad, but it's not worth holding, ever.

In a situation where you have no RR effect and nothing held, a clean draw if you will, if you do not pull a Balance you Redraw. If you get a Bole or Arrow on redraw and there is an obvious, immediate need for them, use them. You can occasionally use a Ewer or Spire on redraw but it's pretty rare and situational. Some people will hold a Bole if they KNOW big damage is coming out before Draw comes off CD again. I don't know if that's optimal mathematically speaking but it can make healing easier. Personally, I never RR a spire or ewer unless I have a Balance held already, or if it's some really odd situation and I'm holding a Bole-- one example was during early A12S progression with the Almost Holy-casting adds. 99% of the time I don't RR those cards unless I already have a balance. The reason is that you have an extremely high chance of drawing a spire or ewer (2 attempts to draw 2/6 cards) versus drawing a balance when you've already got an expanded up. And then if you pull an Arrow or a Bole and want to use it you have to click off Expanded, and then draw a new ewer or spire to RR again after you eventually draw another Balance. In a raid you're not going to use extended or enhanced too often, sometimes circumstances allow for it, but your absolute main priority is expanded balance.

LA should be used on CD and linked with CO where you can. It's not a situational skill, you need to use it constantly. I can cap out on AST with 930 piety if I'm not diligent about using LA and it's a messy run.

Disable is gone after the expansion so I won't comment on it. Synastry will be more situational in SB but it's a bread and butter skill now, you should use it a lot. Same with time dilation, that's not something you sit on until you get a balance. Extend your HoTs or single target cards with it all the time, it's got a short-ish CD.

Aether + Celestial always. Rest is bonus:

Cards as a given.
Either Aspected Benefic because you can.
Collective even as just a tank heal upkeep.
Lightspeed for Gravity spam in shitter aoe groups.

Keep Spread as long as possible helps you trash less cards. If you draw Arrow/Balance just use it with RR instead of the Spread one. If you don't draw those use Spread and RR the new card.

I find the bubble and lightspeed to be more situational. The bubble is quite good really, I just don't like sitting with it up because that's time I'm not casting. It's regen is really powerful and can be extended with co or td, so consider using it solely for the regen in some circumstances. Lightspeed I mostly use to heal while moving or to try and salvage a run. Perhaps they will up the raid damage significantly in 4.0 but there's rarely a situation where you need to blast out like 7 Helios' in a row to heal something, assuming the run isn't snowballing into a wipe. You should already have your hot or shield up if you know damage is coming, and then you can cast one or two Helios and let you co healer cover anything else that needs doing. It's a good skill, but your chart makes it out to be a bread and butter one for dealing with AoEs when a Synastry buffed aspected put up beforehand and 1-2 Helios after are good enough (with your cohealer's contribution), even when you don't outgear everything. Maybe that will change, we'll see.

I kind of have started to feel this way. While the XIV team's attempts at non-traditional or experimental content has been hit or miss, running new dungeons is just not very surprising anymore. So I finally hit 60 and finished most of the msq but what is up with this ilvl gap between dungeons. The post main quest ones only drop ilvl 160 gear but you need 175-180 to do any additional content. Did you HW players have to just grind tokens or some shit.

Every class has a hidden modifier which may differ even within a role. That's how they can balance numbers without messing with potencies.
That's why PLD calculating to be highest PPS tank doesn't directly translate to them doing 25% more damage than other tanks
